A Tale Written In The Sand to

13 Things You Think Are True, But Aren't

From a love tale where you fill in the ending to tales someone always told us

A Tale Written In The Sand (poem)

The day I took my lover by the hand
And felt my future there within her eyes
A tale forever written in the sand
-
A dream beyond what stardust could have planned
The blossoming of splendor and surprise
The day I took my lover by the hand
-
And for our time the world we could command
We mingled mid the wishes in the skies
A tale forever written in the sand
-
Within our hearts was fashioned wonderland
Enjoying waves which stroked this paradise
The day I took my lover by the hand
-
Then struck dark ways so hard to understand
To tear a love with rains of vicious guise
A tale forever written in the sand
-
In dust from blight is heard a distant band
The reason that an angel softly cries
The day I took my lover by the hand
A tale forever written in the sand

To go with this villanelle: Richard Clayderman "Historia de un Amor"

The number of possible ways of playing the first four moves per side in a game of chess is 318,979,564,000. So much for useless facts, but as far as "not so useless facts"... CollegeHumor is a comedy website based in Los Angeles, California. The site features daily original comedy videos and articles created by its in-house writing and production team. CollegeHumor was created in 1999 (launched February 29, 2000) by Josh Abramson and Ricky Van Veen, with help from web developer Jakob Lodwick, but is now owned by IAC/InterActiveCorp. Beside the work on its very popular website, CollegeHumor is big on YouTube. As of September 2014 CollegeHumor had over 2.9 billion views and over 7.5 million subscribers.
Now CollegeHumor challenges what we think we know with: "13 Things You Think Are True, But Aren't"

From This to The Song

What do true lovers have that is greater than their love

Memories

From This (poem)

Let’s spend this time amid sweet love’s refrain
This special time of stardust blessed delight
When this has passed who knows what will remain
-
Receive this kiss to ease the pangs of pain
Then add to this these arms to hold you tight
Let’s spend this time amid sweet love’s refrain
-
Was this the wish a dream hoped to obtain
This passage from desire to promised light
When this has passed who knows what will remain
-
This mist soon sooths all doubt which may remain
Then comes this whisper mingled with the night
Let’s spend this time amid sweet love’s refrain
-
Somewhere ahead are seasons fraught with rain
When darkness plays its tricks upon our sight
When this has passed who knows what will remain
-
But here we are this moment to sustain
From this we build the bonds to make things right
Let’s spend this time amid sweet love’s refrain
When this has passed who knows what will remain

To go with this villanelle and the general theme of this edition: Shania Twain and Brian White performing "From This Moment On"

When you yawn and stretch at the same time, you are “pandiculating”, (or listening to one of my jokes). But back in a lover's sunset: A young lady records a special song for her husband who is going off to serve in the military. Another young lady (her granddaughter) finds the recording made long ago. She is inspired with a remarkable gift idea. The folks at Apple bring this moving memory back to life. This well remade moment features musician Dana Williams and vocalist Rhiannon Giddens.
With that said, let us enjoy this drift in memories (Love's gift) "Apple - The Song"

Ripples to Best Christmas Lights Show of 2014 (Star Wars theme)

The mysterious ripples of two lovers

To the mystery behind one man's fabulous light display

Ripples (poem)

Words pass under the bridge
Ripples of once use to be
As lovers meet in the sunshine
Following scent of a kiss
-
The glow of the flow there beneath them
This mirror of lovers divine
What perfection has brought them together
To form this moment’s music
-
Was it the gentle clouds
Which wrote their dreams across the sky
Was it the flowers
Which fashion forever with their lingering scent
-
Or was it the water
Shimmering glimmering hope of tomorrow
Streaming toward the endless sea
Gleaming in feelings unspoken
-
Words pass over the bridge
As seasons try to free the heart
Echoing flames of confusion
Of what once meant not at all
-
And once again a leaf is broken
As the lovers go their way
Timelessly floating it meets the water
Forming ripples used to be

To go with this poem: BrunuhVille "River of Tears"

Are you ready

Tom Sawyer was the first novel written on a typewriter. Tom BetGeorge is a music teacher in Newark, California. Is he a Star Wars nerd? I have my suspicions. This year, to celebrate Christmas, Tom fashioned his house into a fabulous light show. He built the entire show himself using wood, metal, acrylic and corrugated plastic and around 100,000 lights. 12,500 channels of computer memory run the entire display, which Tom puts on 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. each night (weather permitting). Not only is Tom's light show gone viral on YouTube but is being highlighted by TV and news media everywhere. All those lights every night and all the people coming to see the spectacle... Tom's neighbors must be getting very upset. Not at all (and a mystery revealed). Tom BetGeorge is using all proceeds of his light show to help the poor and homeless through his church (Centerville Presbyterian).
With the true purpose behind all those light reveal, enjoy "Best of Star Wars Music Christmas Lights Show 2014 - Featured on Great Christmas Light Fight!"

Paradise Times to Keys in a Box (car ad!)

The memory of a love returned has nothing to do with a car ad

But if first your car ad does not succeed then try, try YouTube

Paradise Times (poem)

Upon a night not long ago
We sat and watched a fire fair glow
While sharing moments we loved so
And lost ourselves amid the flow
-
This time we spent in paradise
Where dreams were themes made to entice
For chances which would not come twice
And kisses cast were oh so nice
-
Such moments made in times ago
Rich splendor stars we would entice
We’d fly away and not think twice
And live forever in time’s flow
-
But fragile was this paradise
Whose magic luster was our glow
How is it we forgot it so
Were kisses cast that oh so nice
-
And now we’re lost in strange new flow
That paradise we miss it so
And yet we live amid its glow
Upon a night not long ago

To o with this verse, I've selected Yuri Kane "Right Back" (Chillout Mix)

A cockroach will live nine days without its head before it starves to death. What that has to do with Toyotas, I'm still not sure. But, Oak Lawn Toyota, in Illinois, sells them (cars not cockroaches). To do this they came up with an ad, "Keys in a Box". They borrowed a song by The Lonely Island and Justin Timberlake, "D--- In A Box", and added the own (cleaner) words. This low budget video was written, filmed and directed by Joe Mallet and stars Parker Gadbois, Abby Urbano and Joe Mallet. Reviews on the video is quite mixed (from great to awful), but everyone agrees it is funny. What about the bottom line? Did it help to sell cars? I don't know, but it did go viral.
Whether you need, want, expect, would like... a Toyota, for now enjoy, "Oak Lawn Toyota - Keys in a Box (Full Music Video)"

This Stairway to Just Like Link (the video game hero)

Remember the trip up those stairs to the one who ruled your heart

Let's let a laugh keep us fresh on the joyous outcome

This Stairway (poem)

These tiers to my hopes and delight
This stairway which leads to you
-
Together the stars it would seem
Now heighten this path to my dream
This stairway which leads to you
-
The moments which we spent apart
My footsteps now redeem my heart
With oceans of kisses in view
This stairway which leads to you
-
Excited of evening I planned
The world is all ours to command
Devoted to touch of your hand
There’s nothing which I wouldn’t do
This stairway which leads to you
-
With visions of you in my sight
Rich fantasies in me ignite
The promise of pleasure incite
A spell from the moon waits our flight
The climb which makes all this come true
This stairway which leads to you
-
They never seemed this long before
I never once felt such a chore
Not tears but sweat which I pour
On footsteps which lead to your door
What happened to the love of lore
In time they would show what is true
This stairway which leads to you

Do you believe Einstein couldn't speak fluently until after his ninth birthday. His parents thought he was mentally retarded. (Hey, they can't say that! He was mentally challenged.)
Link, for those who don't know,is the main character in Nintendo's popular The Legend of Zelda series. He was created by Shigeru Miyamoto and debuted in 1986. Link's popularity thrusted him from video game status to other media, including merchandise, comic books, and a cartoon series. Link is a fictional creature of the Hylian race, originating from the fictional land of Hyrule. He often travels through Hyrule, defeating creatures, evil forces and the series' primary antagonist, Ganon, while attempting to save Princess Zelda and Hyrule. In his effort to defeat evil, Link usually requires the use of Light Arrows and a mighty mystic Master Sword.
Which brings us to "JUST LIKE LINK"

This Minute to "Blank Space" Parody (Mom Version)

Facing one's minute to facing the minutes of a mom

It all comes together or apart with this edition

This Minute (poem)

Face this minute
Shaking shaking
-
What are you afraid of
We’ve been through this before
Staking staking
-
Every time you face a challenge
Confronting new things odd and different
Something in us stays the moment
Breaking breaking
-
Such strange thoughts you fear
Running through our imagination
Creating an unknown world
Which we must flee from
Aching aching
-
But who are you to judge
The path that has brought us here
And molded this fine fellow
With whom we now must deal with
Strolling streets familiar
Faking faking
-
Turn around and see
This person once called we
Who helped to fashion he
Someone to shame
Someone to blame
Someone our specter is
Raking raking
-
Facing this minute
All that remains
Shaking shaking

Margo to Turning Wine Into Spit

A special love turns and a good wine turns

One is funny. One is sobering.

Margo (poem)

She passed her life within the dreams of men
Who schemed to be with Margo for the night
Her days became a constants question when
As Margo waited rescue from her plight
-
Then to this scene this stranger came along
Who offered but a moment just for her
And when she finished he would move along
A sense of worth in Margo he did stir
-
As time went on this man would take her out
And show her worlds she never knew before
While in their hearts a love began to sprout
Yet hugs and kisses leveled every score
-
So Margo and her gentleman did play
Until one night wild passion they would stem
And after climax mind was left to stray
For then I knew I had turned into them

To keep us thinking: The Smiths "How Soon Is Now?"

And

As of 2013 there are still more psychoanalysts per capita in Buenos Aires than any other place in the world. But we want to focus on Canada... Quebec, Canada to be specific. That's where Just for Laughs: Gags started. Just for Laughs: Gags is a silent comedy/hidden camera reality television show created by Pierre Girard and Jacques Chevalier. The show has been around since December 26, 2000 and is now seen in over 100 countries. Many of Gags' gags have gone viral. In this example from the show wine connoisseurs sample a fine wine. Strangely the wine's flavor turns sour when the tasters notice how the wine glasses are being shined.
So let us turn to laughter with "Turning Wine Into Spit"
