The Cleaning Man to Sesame Street: Oscar sings with Macklemore

Do Not Judge What Makes A Person

Awesomeness can be found where it is least expected

The Cleaning Man (poem)

Another day had ended at my work
A brief repose from my monotony
An endless trail of life not meant to be
Perhaps fine dining may give life a perk
Was here I stumbled on a cleaning man
All night he labored clearing other’s mess
That morning glow would day before suppress
And he repeated deeds as night began
Yet he took so much pride in what he did
Each speck of dust he wipe most carefully
All chrome and glass was brought to clarity
And every flaw this man’s perfection hid
His dignity and style just drove me wild
How could his best face other’s mess each day
I asked and stood at center of display
The cleaning man then walked away and smiled

This sonnet was put together after hearing this song: Vargo "Warriors" featuring Dan Millman

All of the clocks in the movie "Pulp Fiction" are stuck at 4:20, but not at Sesame Street. Even if we have never watched Sesame Street, the name Oscar the Grouch has crossed our path. Oscar is a Muppet puppet who lives in a trash can. A running theme is his compulsive hoarding of seemingly useless items. Well, Oscar got a treat when Macklemore paid him a visit. Macklemore (Ben Haggerty) is an award winning rapper (as opposed to wrapper). At the 56th Annual Grammy Awards Macklemore won four awards; Best New Artist, Best Rap Album (The Heist), Best Rap Song, and Best Rap Performance ("Thrift Shop"). As it turns out, in life's weird twists, Macklemore and Oscar share something in common. In a parody of "Thrift Shop" Macklemore and the Grouches of Sesame Street are looking for the yuckiest, muckiest, grimiest trash to find they have a viral video on their hands.
See what newscasters are still talking about. "Sesame Street: Oscar ft. Macklemore"
