The House to Awkward Moments During The Apocalypse

The awkward moment when strangers discover forever

The awkward moments some may experience during the apocalypse

The House (English sonnet)

Each night the sounds of Joy would fill the air
From house whose warmth filled neighborhood with pride
So great a love was living there inside
That every satin dream would start from there
Though music’s laughter traveled far and wide
So sweet the sound it filled each heart with care
Each dance of love the neighbors gladly share
Each night’s delight the starry eyed applied
Yet all the while none knew who called house home
They searched but got no answer to their calls
They claimed access but nothing did they find
Amiss has set a riddle loose to roam
But there within the stillness of the walls
Where memories two lovers left behind

To go with this sonnet I've selected: William Orbit's rendition of "Adagio For Strings"
(Or maybe it was the video that caught my fancy.)

The awkwardness continues

Actor Robert Duvall received a Best Supporting Actor Oscar nomination for his role as Colonel "Bill" Kilgore, in the movie Apocalypse Now, even though he only had 11 minutes of screen time. For the fans of the TV series "The Last Ship". the series is due to continue this month. For those unfamiliar: After a global viral pandemic wipes out over 80% of the world's population, the crew of a lone unaffected U.S. Navy guided missile destroyer, the USS Nathan James, must try to find a cure, stop the apocalypse. To celebrate the return and continued success, the folks at  BuzzFeed Video have put together this, their little tribute.
The BuzzFeed bunch have added their own twist (or laughs). "Awkward Moments You Have During The Apocalypse"
