Within The Moonlight’s Splendor to Killer Clowns

Was in the moonlight that a couple was taken by a change

Was in the moonlit night the Killer Clowns were up to no good

Within The Moonlight’s Splendor (poem)

Within each moment of the moonlight’s splendor
A fog of my confusion here is formed
I’m taken by these feelings soft and tender
To places dreams and wishes have all warmed
And in an instant marked by my surrender
I’m not quite sure what caused a wind to storm
-
Her beauty passed what any song could render
Such fantasies were born to hold her tight
Within each moment of the moonlight’s splendor
Her eyes would echo heartbeats of delight
Before some clarity I could engender
The stars had set our kisses to ignite
-
Was here between reality so slender
When lovers’ thoughts were nowhere to found
A soul again would meet with its contender
As once more silent madness was unbound
Within each moment of the moonlight’s splendor
A pool of blood was formed upon the ground

(This is an example of a poem that takes a unexpected path. Still, it is up to the reader to draw the final conclusion. - When we first moved into our house it behaved quite strangely. One would think it was haunted. Everything from lights on the walls, voices coming from the fireplace, footsteps in the night and more. The family was bothered to no end, so they made me investigate. One by one I found and resolved these "not so paranormal" activities. It's still a nice house. in a beautiful city, but it's not as much fun.)

Back to the poem, here's: Annie Lennox "Love Song For A  Vampire"

If you are afraid of clowns go no further

It has been accepted that clowns were first introduced in Egypt, during the Fifth Dynasty (about 2500 B.C.). It is no secret many people are afraid of clowns. A fact that Steven King took advantage of with his scariest clown of all time Pennywise, from "It". Dm Pranks Productions is vying for Pennywise's reputation. Dm Pranks Productions is the Italian duo of Matteo and Diego and their team. Some say their pranks are too gory. Some wonder how many victims are actually participants.
Say what we like, Dm Pranks doesn't begin production on their next "gory" video until their last one reaches 20 million views. "Killer Clown 5 - Apotheosis! Scare Prank!"

Moment Made So Right to Pre-Game Pump-Up

Love's mood prepared a flame no darkness can extinguish

Teammates' prepare their team for the big game but go a little too far

Moment Made So Right (villanelle)

There never was a moment made so right
Till dreams were starlight captured in her eyes
As memories embrace and kiss the night
-
And all at once unreal was in my sight
As echoes of forever felt my sighs
There never was a moment made so right
-
My soul aflame then shouted hold her tight
Within sweet fragrance floating in the skies
As memories embrace and kiss the night
-
I’m taken by the splendors of delight
Through feelings only lovers can surmise
There never was a moment made so right
-
But then again came flicker to the light
Cruel fortune turned tomorrows into lies
As memories embrace and kiss the night
-
Yet in my darkness some things reunite
My heart in taken off by true reprise
There never was a moment made so right
As memories embrace and kiss the night

(You might notice that I try to add a little conflict to the poems. I find that it creates a level of depth. I was very fortunate to appreciate my partner's power over my conflicts. Just to have her near, hear her voice, see her picture or recall a memory we shared and problems turned to flakes.)

To capture this is this song and video: Jennylyn Mercado and Janno Gibbs
"Moments of Love"

But not all moments are this right

Wearing a red jersey makes a better home team. Supposedly this is not a myth. A study done in England shows that the teams that wore red jerseys at home did have a better home record. No, wait... That's soccer. But I'm pretty sure the same might apply to American football. (Actually, I don't have a clue.) What I do know is the pre-game pump-up is very important to rouse a team for the upcoming game. Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele (Key and Peele), of Comedy Central, re-enact one of those Ra-Ra sessions for us.
Only one small problem. They get a little carried away. "Key & Peele - Pre-Game Pump-Up"

Summer’s Field to Pups running for dinner

For the lovers summer came and it went - except

For these two mealtime was their summer - day to day, month to month, Joy to Joy

Summer’s Field (poem)

We spent our days in summer’s field
Where promises were flower’s yield
And nothing was from us concealed
This season put aside for two
-
Each breeze would call me to your side
To touch the dreams that hearts confide
And let our kisses be our guide
Through summer’s field where wishes grew
-
We’d find delight in holding tight
Such flights would summer’s field ignite
That nothing quite would feel so right
Until those youthful days were through
-
Then seasons of cold winters came
With biting winds so hard to tame
We fought to guard our precious flame
Through mornings filled with bitter dew
-
Then in your eyes came yesterday
Though outer youth had gone astray
Were summer’s field that far away
For love whose blossom had proved true

(You may have noticed, the rhyme scheme of each stanza changes. The last line holds its own rhyme to the end. This was done to show a constancy in a changing idea. Arlene and I met in winter, but summers would be our magic. Whether by planning or that things just happened that way, the best of life seemed to unfold in summer. What was even more wondrous, Arlene seemed to carry those summers in her eyes... in her personality.)

Well, let's top this idea off with: Seals and Crofts "Summer Breeze"

While there's still time

Studies seem to show that time perception differs dramatically across the globe. For example, Americans tend to think about time in 5-minute increments, while Middle Easterners do so in 15-minute increments. A little less out there and a lot cuter is a video created by Chris Cardinal, of Phoenix, Arizona. It is of two Golden Retrievers, Colby and  Bleu, who are on a mission. You may notice a slight change in the pups as the video continues. That's because it took Chris almost a year to put this masterpiece together. Colby and  Bleu were born in July of 2014.
When we enjoy how this video ends, we have to be amazed in Chris' planning. "Pups running for dinner, timelapse style"

Whispers Of Dream to Miguel Rivera amazing Solo Guitar

One person searches the heart of inspiration

Another person allows inspiration to dance on his guitar

Whispers Of Dream (free form poem)
Don’t you hate it
When the lights go out
And the only name echoed in the darkness
Is yours
-
So berated
A wondrous new path
And the only words that they can say
Where are you
-
Overweighted
With things that don’t work
And the only hope of resolution
Dreams that are yours
-
What about you
Who do you turn to when the lights go out
Who will hold your hand when you enjoy
Who shares whispers of dreams all our own
All our own
-
For them it is you
You will they turn to when the lights go out
You will hold the hand that seek out Joy
You will whisper to them of dreams all their own
All our own
-
So they’ll state it
When your light goes out
And the only name echoed in their darkness
Is yours

(An interesting thing about this poem. I try to write my poems so that the reader adds their experience to the lines and thus bringing the words to life. I like to say, "The reader is the final strike if the pen." In this poem, though I am not specific, most can easily find something in their life to give it full meaning.)

To go with this poem I've selected:Thomas Bergersen & Merethe Soltvedt
"The Hero In Your Heart"

Page two

It is rumored, when Michael Jackson wrote the song "Beat It", he was encouraged, by his then producer, Quincy Jones, to come up with something like "My Sharona" (a huge hit for The Knack in 1979).Whether Michael Jackson,"Beat It" or "My Sharona",  Miguel Rivera was inspired. Channel Miguel Rivera, professional guitarist, composer and professor of Guitar in Madrid, Spain. When watching this video and Miguel's mastery of the guitar, one wonders why we don't hear more of him.To which Miguel answers, he s happy with the way things are. A fact that rings out in his music.
The music track was set down in a studio, but it is only Miguel performing, with no added mix. "Miguel Rivera - Beat It (Michael Jackson) - Solo guitar"

Out Of Sight to Stop-Motion Karate

A struggle, a conflict with the unknown

A struggle, a competition more defined

Out Of Sight (tone poem)

Foggy night
Thoughts alight
Out of sight
Out of sight
-
Truth takes flight
By some fright
Groundless plight
Mindless might
-
Far from light
Fears ignite
Out of sight
Out of sight
-
It’s alright
Hopes recite
To build mite
-
False delight
Finds a height
From mind’s blight
Out of sight
-
Holding tight
Doubt to smite
So contrite
Out of sight
-
Bitter bite
Fate rewrite
Reunite
Terror’s rite
-
Flaccid fight
Brought respite
Out of sight
Out of sight

(We use the word "night" as the domain of the unknown, whether in our days or nights. I struggled with nightmares till my mid thirties. Though many involved my step-father, others seemed unrelated. My only escape was to wake up and it was hard to go back to sleep, sensing what was waiting. I found all my nightmares were somehow tied to my childhood. I learned that I could control my dreams. After many years, I confronted my step-father, in a dream, and never had another nightmare.)

After that flight into madness, here's: Dave Brubeck Quartet "Blue Rondo à la Turk"

Next conflict please

Remember Bruce Lee's movie "The Big Boss" (1971)? Many credit it for the major growth of Asian martial arts to the rest of the world. It seems that these two took up the study of martial art for the same reason I did. To impress the girls. These two being Sam Gorski, Niko Pueringer of Corridor Digital. They are not quite black belts, only yellow and pink (pink!?). B,ut all this may soon change as a major motivation entered the picture. That motivation leads to an impressive stop-action battle.
One can say this video is well grounded. "Stop-Motion Karate"

Kiss’s Endless Question to If you're going 80 mph

Caught in an endless riddle caused by the scent of this

In another forest a "simple" question takes on new depth

Kiss’s Endless Question (round)

I will not linger on your kiss
All thoughts of it I will dismiss
I’ll set my mind on other things
In hopes to free my soul of this
-
I’ll give it wings to soar passed springs
Where flower’s scent reminder brings
Perhaps those trees their shade might ease
How much the loss of kisses stings
-
But in these trees a playful breeze
Does tell my heart a tale to tease
That set its beats toward kisses crave
Till yonder cave my eyes do seize
-
Here in the dark I’m free to brave
Just why for these I am a slave
No plant or wind to torture thought
No idle lips to misbehave
-
But in the dark alone I sought
The source that started this onslaught
From pure delight this reckless flight
Another bright idea I got
-
Perhaps this thought just needs some light
A kiss to quench an appetite
Might bring some peace to this abyss
And set this endless riddle right

(Keep in mind: This is a round. It has no beginning or end. The third line of each stanza leads to the next stanza. So, the last third line leads back to the beginning of the round. Talk about kisses: I'm a real sucker for them, especially my wife's. Much like the nature of this round, I am enjoyably lost in her kisses' power over me.)

With this round and that little insight enjoy: Quite a Handful performing
Peter, Paul and Mary "Kisses Sweeter Than Wine"

Hold on to your brain

It is believed that tn Tokyo, a bicycle is faster than a car for most short trips. Short trips have nothing to do with one girl's mind. There are many other videos featuring people attempting to decipher similar versions of this "complicated" math problem, but none quite like this one. In 2012, Jaymie McGill asked her friend the seemingly simple question, if you’re traveling at 80 mph, how long will it take to go 80 miles? It seems, not as long as it takes for her to come up with the answer or for us to stop laughing. Jaymie's work is back in the public eye and YouTube's hot viral videos list.
Thought: if your friend makes a successful viral video, like this one, of you, stay on their good side. "If you're going 80mph how long will it take go to 80miles?"

Dance A Dream to Phillip Chbeeb and Renee Kester performing Slip

Whatever life throws in lovers' way - Dream, Live, Dance

Slip into the imagination of a couple as they take the next step

Dance A Dream (English sonnet)

We danced a dream amid the music’s glow
Through melodies of Joy without an end
Each twist and turn our kisses would transcend
As time became enchantment in our flow
-
The song of you heart’s splendor would ascend
Through movements of our passions letting go
Each word unspoken feelings came to know
As stardust from our heaven set our trend
-
But that was moment from uncertain past
When seasons set a tune for youth so grand
So certain of illusion there in view
-
Yet here we sit with life we have amassed
When music plays I still reach out my hand
So I may have just one more dream with you

(One might notice a heavy theme of dance in my work. Dance was important to Arlene. She spent many years teaching me. The lights went on, for me, the year we were married. As I continued to improve, I began to see dance's connection to life.)

To go with this sonnet, I turn to tango: Gotan Project "Amor Porteno"
(The dancers are Juana Sepulveda and Jarle Sandodden)

One more dance

There is a legend of a “Dancing Plague”of 1518. It was a mania that lasted a month and killed dozens of people in Strasbourg, France through exhaustion or heart attack, because they danced uncontrollably.  A lot more peaceful, yet with a similar level of fascination and excitement is Phillip Chbeeb and Renee Kester and their performance of Elliot Moss' "Slip". At first glance, it all seems like just another amateur dance video, but reviewers, who are still jumping on board, are calling this performance mesmerizing, haunting, beautiful, emotional and raw.
One last question: how many times did you watch this video? "SLIP | @PhillipChbeeb & Renee Kester | @ElliotMossMusic"
