Quiet Night to "Daddy" without music
Lover, a quiet night, a crime
The new PSY hit without music, comedy or a crime

Quiet Night (Martin verse)

It was another quiet night
She felt that something wasn’t right
Some truth that still eluded sight
While her lover now held her tight
-
So strange was his feeling of care
And words not a one did he share
Enchantment of hearts filled the air
And if there are dreams it is there
-
For here was her blessing this night
One moment for moments they share
When music of love filled the air
Before world they knew became tight
-
He searched out a store with great care
And waited for time to be right
When suddenly guns were in sight
Which left him on ground bleeding there
-
So who is this now holds her tight
Who is it holds truth from her sight
What turns a wrong to one last right
It was another quiet night

(Another Martin verse. If you are interested in writing a Martin verse go here: https://suite.io/martin-kloess/6fyr2z2. Let me know if you write one, so I can guide people to your site (free). _ There was this guy, John. He was an acquaintance of mine. I don't when it started, but when I smoked, I used to run into John at the corner 7-11. We would smoke a cigarette and talk, and that was the extent of our relationship. John introduced me to a Chinese car service like Uber, long before Uber came into existence. Did I mention, John was Chinese, from Hong Kong. Oddly, though I used this car service a lot, I never got John as a driver. John met a girl and from that time on, she was all we talked about. I met John's girlfriend/wife on the day they were married. John had a small wedding and I was invited. She loved John very much. Her only complaint about him was, he worked too much. Shortly thereafter there was a brutal shooting blocks from my house. A drug deal gone real bad. The news went out of their ways to describe the horror the shotguns made of the car and its driver. It was near impossible for me to believe. It was John.)

A beautiful song with a sad undertone: Tony Stevens "Good Night The Sun"
(For you, John)

Karaoke comes from the Japanese word kara, meaning empty or void, and ōkesutora, meaning orchestra. It is a form of entertainment in which amateur singers sing along with recorded music. What about the flip side of the coin, where we have professionals and take away the music? PSY with his resent hit "Daddy", with over 27 million views in 5 days, seems to be another good victim of musicless what-choo-ma-call-it.

Touch Of Fantasy to Every Jedi Ever
A lover opens a fantasy
A video opens a star war of silliness

Touch Of Fantasy (English sonnet)

I wait a timeless minute to explore
The meaning to a touch of fantasy
Of is this really happening to me
What heaven has removed my need of floor
-
What paradise lays waiting past the sea
What do the stars of ever have in store
Did beauty truly exist in before
Will dream grant me the key to mystery
-
And here I wait as tides of passion stray
Was there a time before I felt this way
Is every single hope within my view
-
In timelessness I feel a song’s refrain
Perhaps its kiss might help a heart explain
The meaning of this fairy tale with you

(An English sonnet of a different form. Normally English sonnets follow two forms (without becoming a modern sonnet): ABBA BAAB CDE CDE or ABBA BAAB CD CD CD. I have shown variations are possible: ABBA BAAB CCD EED. I am, by no means, the first to venture the realm of variations. Sonneteers, of the time, tried the hearts of their followers much like we do today. -  In and with this sonnet I have tried to express the "magic" of love. For me, it toys with us. It takes us to  the boarders of imagination. It challenges reality.Oh yes, I am much older (and different) than that young man sporting hickeys from his girlfriend on his neck.I no longer sport hickeys. But starry eyed... There is no doubt that I'm crazy about my wife Amor. I have always been a bit off (or crazy). Add Arlene and now Amor, and there are no rules, except those of the realm of love. Take this, our song of love and put the world outside aside awhile. We lovers, dream in a place real to our heart. And in the morning we can say,  "I was there.")

This calls for a romantic song: Amos Elias "El Corazon"

From kisses to laughs - This lover stood in line to see Star Wars-A New Hope

The actor who played Obi-Wan Kenobi, Alec Guiness, thought of the Star Wars films as “fairy-tale rubbish”, but a $95 million paycheck quelled that opinion. Right now, everyone is excited about the soon to be released new episode, "The Force Awakens". But first, Ian Andrew Hecox and Anthony Padilla (of Smosh) think it is important that we all consider the powers of the Jedi warrior.
It is too bad Andrew and Anthony can't be serious "EVERY JEDI EVER"

Returns To Me to United State of Pop 2015
A melody returns a life spent
A DJ returns the melodies that made 2015 great

Returns To Me (Martin verse)

A melody returns to me
It dances through my memory
Mid all the Joy that you set free
A paradise can truly be
-
Here kisses seem to have no end
Each whispered wish my thrill ascend
Another road another bend
My heart awaits the beats you send
-
This spell which you have cast on me
I’m bound forever to ascend
And from its call I’ll never bend
For this the world was meant to be
-
And if all time should find an end
And songs have lost their memory
Poor lovers lost to wander free
One heart still waits the beat you send
-
Just sing your song and there I’ll be
And hold me tight to set me free
Another dream a memory
This melody returns to me

(The return of Martin verse. If you are interested in writing a Martin verse go here: https://suite.io/martin-kloess/6fyr2z2. Let me know if you write one, so I can advertise it (free). - Besides being old, I am going through some hard times (physically). Fortunately, I lived a dream. Even when I was well, it was hard to escape the "remember whens". Even  I was guilty of reliving a memory every now and then. After all, the memories were _______ (fill in the blank).I made memories for myself and for others. For instance: When I worked at Chevron's Copy Center, I used to throw a BIG yearly picnic, the "Romp and Stomp". Everyone could come. All they had to do was bring extra food or beverages. It was held at Concord Community Park, in Concord, California. This was a time before one needed reservations, so my friend Jack, Arlene and I got there early to rope off a nice spot. The guests all turned their radios to the same station, so we could dance. We had some games like, the water balloon throw, the cart race, the sexiest male legs, just to name a few. My friend Charles and I would put on a sword fighting exhibition. The whole picnic was topped off with a big softball game. The "Romp and Stomps" got so popular that more and more people attended. By the 4th year attendance was around 150 people. This was just one example of my life. Even if age were my only challenge, I could nit run "Romp and Stomps" like that me of long ago. I tell people, do not feel sorry for me, I have made great memories. And now my memories return to me. to comfort me.)

Talk about returning, here's: Dean Martin "Return To Me"

So what were 2015's melodies

“Rock Your Body” was actually written by Pharrell Williams for Michael Jackson’s last studio album Invincible (2001) but when it was rejected, it got picked up by Justin Timberlake for his debut LP Justified. But what about 2015? Jordan Roseman (aka DJ Earworm) is a San Francisco based mashup artist. He has achieved worldwide recognition for his technically sophisticated, songwriting oriented music and video mashups. Since 2003 he began creating mashups of America's top hits for the year, based on Billboard' top 100. In 2007 Jordan earned the recognition he had worked for four years to garner and the world waited to see who would make Earworm's  "United State of Pop" for that year.
Here's DJ Earworm's mashup, "United State of Pop" for 2015. "United State of Pop 2015 (50 Shades of Pop)"

The Pain to Insane Car Flip
A person deals with mysterious pain
A mother deals with her son and the pain he puts her through

The Pain (poem)

Persistent dreams won’t explain
Source of this meaningless pain
Echoed in nightly refrain
Which has me in endless before
-
Silence I wished to obtain
Something to deaden the pain
Reason is sought to attain
This spark which has opened my soul
-
Myself I fought to maintain
Person pursued by some pain
Mindless of nothing to gain
Uncertain of just where we were
-
One voice would make itself plain
Shouts from the incessant pain
Shouts meant to drive one insane
I turned to a window for air
-
As I went bleakness hailed rain
Drops which awakened more pain
Screams which would enter my brain
As from window something went wrong
-
Once more I awake in my dread
Uncertain of just where we were
Again in my endless before
Empty window to my pain

(Here is an interesting poem that I hope you liked and got your mind wandering. We have a series of heavy rhymes followed by a free form thought. All rhymes are centered on pain. And just when we think we are free (the end) the pain returns. I have tried to make the rhymes maddeningly absurd. The poem is meant to paint a picture and to set a mood. - Think about it and we might find a moment that touches this poem. For me it was my abusive stepfather. Maybe I wasn't the perfect child, but my beatings were severe. He had a thick belt he would use and to knock some sense into me, he would pound my head into the walls. Punishment would follow me if I acted poorly, not meeting up to his standards, my mother's exaggerations and him being drunk. I finally left him when I was 16. He then began to enter my dreams. I would have nightmares starring him. He died and the nightmares continued. Many of these dreams were as real as those beatings.I would be in my 30's when I finally got him out of my dreams. It's funny how life can be. I often wonder, would I have been this person so active in charity endeavors? Would I married Arlene or Amor? Would I persevered when it was easier to quit? Would I have been a dreamer? Would I have been a better person? It's funny, when I look through life's window, I owe it to an abusive stepfather.)

To go with this theme, I found: Tune Mere Jaana "Emptiness"

Are you ready for a ride

According to a study that was carried out in Dubai, a city in the United Arab Emirates, only 10-15% of the population is Emiratis with the rest 85% being foreigners; mostly from India, Bangladesh and Pakistan. One of the favorite stunts of Dubai's young risk takers is skiing. Skiing is an automotive driving stunt where the car is driven while balanced only on two wheels, either the pair on the driver side or on the passenger side. Vitaly Zdorovetskiy (of VitalyzdTv) and his mother are vacationing tn Dubai. Vutaly is about to introduce his mother to skiing.
Vitaly's mother is about to introduce him to... Well watch. "Insane Car Flip Prank!"

I learn to love it more and more.

A Dad Sees Son Perform to PSY "Daddy"
The world of limericks opens up world of father and son
Does PSY have another hit to father

A Father Son Tale From The Land Of Aww (limerick)

A father shared thoughts with his son
He knew from his gloom what’s begun
My son head may twirl
And stomach may hurl
And this was just girl number one

A Dad Sees Son Perform (limerick)

I went to see son in school play
Such talent did my boy display
Such poise not a faker
For all this dream maker
World’s best ticket taker I’d say

The Day A Son Shares With His Father His Lifestyle Choice (limerick)

Not happy with lifestyle son chose
What he does with friends heaven knows
With his world asunder
He screamed out his blunder

“Accountant right under my nose”

(More 6/5 limericks. 6 rhymes in 5 lines (follow the beats in lines 3, 4 and 5). - One of the greatest gifts I gave to my son was the gift of reading. I taught my son to read. When Peter started preschool. I purchased a book titled "Teach Your Child To Read In 100 Easy Lessons" by: Simon & Schuster. Before entering kindergarten his preschool teacher had him reading simple books to his classmates. The gift of reading opened up a world of learning for Peter. He made it (scholastically) into Lowell High School, one of the top academic high schools in the nation, He is now studying for his PhD in paleontology at Berkeley (all expenses paid).  Now, before everybody rushes out to buy the book, it didn't work that well on Peter's sister, Robin. Although I used the same book and I think I used the same study strategy, it took Robin longer to learn to read. She was still reading by the time she entered kindergarten. Robin's gift was helping her dad in the kitchen. Although she read more books than Peter, cooking was her big thing. So this father had an assistant in the kitchen. Robin would go on to graduate from cooking school and complete her internship at Jardiniere. Good job dad.)

Back to the silliness: Nonemorenegative "It's A Dad's Life"

Daddy PSY is back again

Korea gave the world kimchi, a traditional side dish made of vegetables with a variety of seasonings depending on which province it comes from. South Korea also gave us PSY (Park Jae-sang). PSY is a South Korean singer, songwriter, record producer, rapper, comedian and general entertainer. On December 21, 2012 he attained worldwide recognition with the release of his music video "Gangnam Style". It received over 2.4 billion views on YouTube. It looks like PSY and South Korea have another hit on their hands.
Look out world. Are you ready for this? "PSY - DADDY(feat. CL of 2NE1) M/V:"

Gone Is The Cloud to It Only Takes a Second
A drifter wanders the safety of what was
Dads wander their mobile phones versus the safety of their children

Gone Is The Cloud (free form poem)

Gone is the cloud which danced through the sky
The warm welcome ear
That long lasting smile
-
Gone is the water’s refreshing reply
Of things which could be
From now forgotten
-
Gone is the meaning wandering why
It happened at all
And don’t look around
-
Who knows the wind which make a dream fly
A blind eye to chance
A frolicking heart
-
And wonders once felt truth can’t deny
The lingering doubts
Safety of others
-
And not a single tear did they cry
It didn’t seem right
As they looked around
-
No further effort was made to try
There’s somebody else
But what was the name
-
Did it even say a last goodbye
One last memory
Till we meet again

(Even in this free form poem we have a sense that there is something going on. First we have the repetition of "Gone is the" which disappears for the rest of the poem. Then we have the "And" which leads one to briefly expect a new repetition will begin. But it doesn't. Then there is the overall nature of the poem. Three lines to each stanza, with the first line being longer than the other two. What is the form of the "formless" trying to suggest? Did we even notice the rhyme of the first lines? - When I put this verse together I was reflecting of my life and the various stages therein. In the beginning there was a young man who was happy in his existence. Here sits an old man, wondering why that young man expected "things wouldn't change". But change they did. As I grew older, I began to take notice that the world was changing. One by one things that I had gotten use to were disappearing. It was (or is) as if I am being left behind. I began to realize others were experiencing similar things and feelings. But even they began to leave me behind. Now here I sit, an old man, in a world that has changed so much and seems to continue to rapidly change around me. Then, this old man  comes in contact with "today's generation" (perhaps images of a person long ago), and touches there may be some order, so reason to it all. We shall find out.)

To take us on a further flight: Joe Satriani "Flying In A Blue Dream"

Cell phones - The symbols of a changing world

It seems some psychologists are reaping some extras from mobile phones in the form of Nomophobia. Nomophobia is the fear of having no mobile phone signal or otherwise being unable to make or receive mobile phone calls. On the subject of mobile phones, we are all aware of the safety hazards of using this devise while driving. It has come to DudesDay's attention that mobile phones may have an additional hazard, especially in the hands of dads. Dudesday is a group of dudes and dads that live in Los Angeles, working in the entertainment industry and creating YouTube videos. It turns out that, unlike moms, dads may be putting their children in some risk, by texting instead of placing their full attention on their children.
What follows are a few examples of what can happen if dads text instead of watching their children. "It Only Takes a Second"
