The Dream to Going Organic
A dream should come more natural than this
A man has decided organic food is more natural

The Dream (rotating poem)

What is this dream hid out of sight
Which has me thrashing through the night
Is it a whim which now holds me
And dare I chance to wait and see
-
It yearns for me apparently
Yet still I feel it’s just not right
Am I to quench some appetite
Am I to stay or should I flee
-
You’d think it come more naturally
When dealing with a what might be
Perhaps a pleasure fear of flight
But indecision holds me tight
-
My quandary heightens its delight
I’ve freed some sort of ecstasy
That drapes me in its fantasy
Behold the flames as they ignite
-
What was this dream hid out of sight
Which had me thrashing through the night
It was a whim had hold of me
Another’s dream I chanced to see

A dream set in motion forms this rotating poem. In this poem two different rhyme sounds were selected.  As the poem progresses the rhymes are set in motion, downward one line at a time. All the while the speaker is dreaming, The forward progression is a hint of resolution.

Once I conquered my childhood abuser in my dreams, where he ruled and dominated for years, what dreams I had. I was married to my childhood sweetheart, Arlene. I had a dream job. And later came the Masons. Real opportunities for a dreamer. I once had these dreams about flying and airplanes and a big party. It wasn't a bad dream. It only bothered me because it kept reoccurring. Chevron Corporation used to have it own hanger at the Oakland Intentional Airport. They wanted to have a big celebration for it's anniversary. I must have gotten wind of it subconsciously. I  didn't pay any attention to it, except in my dreams. I put two and two together when the job fell in my lap. I must have really wanted the opportunity, but the fear of it going to another protected my days but not my nights. When the project was finally laid in my lap all I had to do was convert my dreams into reality. Not a problem, with Chevron's money.

I admit my life put me in unique situations. But at the end of it all, I clearly see that dreams and reality may be the same things. Oh sure, I'm not really a dragon. Or am I? I can't really fly. Yet there are high powered air enclosures that carry people into the air. I had Chevron and the Masons and their money. Now we have technology. And even that technology was someone's dream. Now, people can prove me wrong. But who does that hurt? Know how dream can be real and everybody wins. Know how life is a dream and enjoy.

Talk about dreams, here's a weird one: R-Ice "Lost Dream"

Could this be why organic food is a little more expensive

Organic food is the product of a farming system which avoids the use of man-made fertilizers, pesticides; growth regulators and livestock feed additives. Organic food is thought generally healthier. Generally better for us. Until we run into JP Sears of Awaken With JP. JP has recently become and organic advocate. He has released a video about his change of life on going organic.
Note - JP is unique and that should pretty much explain the laughs. "Going Organic - Ultra Spiritual Life episode 37"

Lovers On A Pond to Joe At A Party
Lovers meet on a pond
Joe hopes to meet someone at a party

Lovers On A Pond (English sonnet)

Was on a pond a tender moonlit night
Two lovers met to dance amid the air
Such was the love this couple had to share
That fantasies and dreams they would ignite
-
And every heart was taken by this pair
The trees and flowers marveled at their sight
The stars would glow and wish on pure delight
If ever love was perfect it was there
-
But no one knows what happened the two
Some say a dark unknown had marked their end
A jealousy awakened by their bond
-
Still even now their moments are in view
As time itself these lovers would transcend
Whenever lovers kiss upon the pond

A romantic mystery becomes this English sonnet. In the quatrains the mood is set up and we are introduced to the lovers. With the appearance of the triplets the mood changes; In the first triplet the mysterious problem is introduced. With the conclusion, instead of solving the problem, something grander happens.

Okay, I took some poetic licences. The place was Lake Chabot. The time was those disco days. On warm Saturdays, we would make a day and night of it. Arlene and I were introduced to Lake Chabot by our hairdresser, Ed. We would spend an afternoon at the lake before going out dancing. The lake was quite beautiful. Beyond the trees and flowers was a sandy beach leading to the comfortable waters of the lake. We would bring a light lunch. Mood? The location, the water, the sweetness of the flowers, and Arlene...it didn't take long for the kissing to start. There was magic in the air, as the beach became the scene of romance. When disco was dying, Arlene and I stopped going to Lake Chabot. Years went by. Arlene and I wanted to go back to Lake Chabot, so we pulled out the pictures. We knew that the lake would not be like those disco days. Instead of risking the disappointment, we created a dream. Our magic spot at Lake Chabot now and forever belongs to other young lovers.

We all have magic moments. Arlene and I have reenacted some of our memories. They were never the same as the first time. There are some memories that are best left where they are. Memories are just that... The past. We cannot go back to the things that happened. We only have the now. (And we don't really have that.) Have we ever said, "I wish I would have..."? Let me put this in our minds: Instead of of wishing about a past, why not make those wishes make the most of now? Don't let anything, "anything" fool you. This is a grand, a marvel, a wonder that we're living. Make the most of it, and enjoy.

When we think of love stories, who comes to mind: Nino Rota "A Time For Us"

Let's join Joe and see if he got a date yet

According to Time Out, a worldwide information source, Paris, France is the best city for dating in the world. I'm not sure how this will help Joe Clabby. who lives in New York. He is at the point where he would be happy just to meet someone to interact with.
Why? You might ask. Well, just watch. "Joe At A Party"

Then Came The Rain to Stop Motion Superfight
Where there once was love has turned into a fight
Where there once was peace as turned into a superfight

Then Came The Rain (lyrical poem)

Where even love can lose its way
Two lovers turn to face their day
All lesser hopes have gone astray
With all their bruises on display
-
Now what went wrong and what so right
Are just mere words another’s fight
Which will not help them through this blight
To be once more each other’s light
-
And then came the rain
With its own refrain
Just what would it drain
And when its gone what would remain
-
Did they need the rain
To bring back the strain
And explain the pain
And when its gone will they remain
-
Their night gave way to heaven’s tears
Reminders through those long lost years
Their happiness was built in tiers
And dancing dreams removed all fears
-
Where are those dreams of long ago
So much of life they came to know
So much of life they had to show
So much of life would not let go
-
And then came the rain
With its own refrain
Just what would it drain
And when its gone what would remain
-
Did they need the rain
To bring back the strain
And explain the pain
And when its gone will they remain
-
Where even love can lose its way
Are just mere words another’s fight
Their happiness was built in tiers
So much of life would not let go

A love affair turned sour is given some light in this lyrical poem. As with most song lyrics the meter (beats) is kept tight. The structure of the poem is as follows: V,V, C1, C2, V, V, C1, C2, V (Where V = verse and C = chorus). The last verse of the poem offers us some insight into the couple and why they stay together. It is composed of the lines of the previous versus, in the order each line appeared.

When Arlene and I were doing our charity work, we met this unusual couple. They were always one of the first to volunteer and were hard workers. From the outside no one could tell that there was a problem. When Arlene and I had to drop things off at their house, we gained an unexpected insight. The couple fought. Even in front of Arlene and me. We had never seen this side of the couple. We asked others, who knew the couple about them. "Oh yes, they hate each other. They're always fighting", came their answers. But why were they (both) one of the first to volunteer? Here's where the weird gets weirder. Away from the volunteer work this couple was always fighting. Get them alone, away from each other, each would talk fondly of the other. The great memories. Not an unpleasant word was spoken of the other. It was like one was talking to completely different people. A different person a different time. Maybe.

I don't have to tell anyone how special relationships can be. It is amazing that when two individuals work together, they can be more together than the sum of their parts. When it comes to people: one plus one can equal so much more. Then there are the memories shared. The moments made together. Then there is the hope. The helping hand. The support. The smiles. And on and on. What is really amazing is that there is something unique that ties us to that someone special in our life, and them to us. Think about it. Billions of people and here is something special, just for us. Memories aside; It may last for a lifetime or it may only be for a moment, but it is a treasure so enjoy.

Then there is the rain: Ming Tsai "Lovers In The Rain"

There are fights then there are superfights

SUPERFIGHT is the video game, developed by Pipeworks Studio, of absurd arguments with friends, or delightful internet strangers. Players battle with their wits to determine who would win hypothetical fights between characters with super powers and super problems. Nothing even close to the creation of Corridor Digital. But Corridor does set up an absurd argument between strangers to create a delightful stop motion video.
Say goodbye to the laws of gravity. "Stop Motion SUPERFIGHT"

Your Smile to Save The Phone
A lover is saved by a smile
People try to save a phone

Your Smile (lyrical poem)

When troubles loom
And worries bloom
The skies once bright are marred with gloom
My senses shrouded by some doom
-
The ceaseless strain
Of mindless pain
An emptiness I can’t explain
And all I was begins to drain
-
Your smile
And everything you do
Refreshes me anew
A faithful light to see things through
My grace of hope for world more true
-
Amid the squall
When hardships call
And pillars everlasting fall
Dark shadows from their corners crawl
-
Confusion’s reign
Its sparks insane
And holds on me I can’t contain
My slipping grip I can’t maintain
-
Your smile
And everything you are
My everlasting star
In Joy you call me from afar
To save me from world gone bizarre
-
Your smile
And all your precious ways
Those meanings of my days
A certainty which never strays
Your love which shines beyond all praise
-
Your smile

Words waiting for a song, but meanwhile there's a smile in this lyrical poem. As a lyrical poem, the meter (beats) is very tight. The poem follows this form: V, V, C, V, V, C, C, coda (where V = verse and C = chorus). The poem ends with the smile chorus, fittingly, dominating.

As always, if there are any song writers in need of some lyrics, help yourself.

When I landed my dream job at Chevron, some of the projects that I took on where a bit risky and/or stressful. I kept lots of pictures of Arlene around. It was her smile that made things easier. It was her smile that was the real purpose of the day. It was the magic of her smile that inspired me. I recall one occasion. Chevron was meeting wit some leaders of Argentina to finalize an oil deal. I was asked to get a professional photographer to capture the signers of the contract. Simple enough. Unfortunately, a major traffic accident shut down the Bay Bridge and trapped the photographer I had hired. It was a little more than an hour from the scheduled shoot when I found out. What I to do? I gazed at a picture of Arlene and that smile. I was inspired and more. I got some executive secretaries to help me. I managed to get a professional camera from the public affairs department. I bought some disposable cameras for the secretaries. I explained what happened to the photographer I had hired to the person who booked my service and that I would be taking the pictures. The secretaries and I took a mountains of pictures of the men in the garden between the Chevron buildings. While everyone went to lunch, I went to a photo lab. With Chevron's money, I had little problem getting the attention I needed. All those cameras, we managed to capture some pretty amazing picture. When everyone got back from lunch they were more than impressed that I already had the pictures developed and had copies for everyone. (Keep in mind this was the old days.) I had performed beyond expectations. When I got home. I kissed the smile that gave me the inspiration.

It is said that a smile is the simplest yet great gift at our command. Without a word a smile can say so much. Can mean so much. Hope, kindness, friendship, love, unity and more, all captured and given freely. What a marvelous treasure at our beckoning. With a smile we can lighten another's day. With a smile we can inspire someone dear to us. With a smile things don't hurt as much. Don't forget to share this gift of gifts with the most important individual of all. You. That's right, never forget that we too deserve, need some of that marvel. And as we spread this piece of ourselves, enjoy.

How about a song about a smile: Rene and Angela "Your Smile "

What do cell phones and water have in common

Despite its popularity as a wet-device cure, placing your cell phone in a bag of uncooked rice may dry it out but won’t always be enough to fix the phone.Minerals in the water can dry and potentially react with materials inside the phone. Hence, how important it is to keep those phones dry, at all costs. Still, accidents do happen, like this one captured by Life According To Jimmy.
One would think that a swimming pool would send up waves of red lights to cell phone user. "SAVE THE PHONE!"

Devotion to Umbrella Stress
A man who cared about is dream
A woman who cared about her umbrella

Devotion (changing poem)

There by devotion he is waiting there
Dreams of tomorrow are locked in his stare
This legend of time the people all share
What was the love which commanded this flare
-
What was the scent which he felt in the air
What was it that he alone was aware
What drift in the wind was he set upon
What scrumptious rumors this marvel would bear
-
The gaze in his eyes had spread everywhere
Lost in devotion this fodder for spawn
The dreams of others would he soon don
And still he lingered to something there
-
Soon crowd of confusion would welcome dawn
To this mystery a curtain was drawn
For something they lost he would be their pawn
And still he sat beyond a need to care
-
It was decided this could not go on
They would put an end to this silent swan
But when they met they found a heart there drawn
With his devotion he at last had gone

A change occurs as a mystery in this changing poem. A poem that starts wit one rhyme scheme and ends with another. We start with one rhyme scheme. With each passing stanza a new rhyme scheme replaces the original, one line at a time, until the new rhyme scheme completely replaces the old. In this poem we have a steady change contrasted by a sudden change.

In a small town there was this man. He sat on a park bench. The love of is life had left him. Why she left him no one really knew. But the man's devotion to his hope that she will return warmed the hearts of everyone. There was a magic in the faithfulness in a love. A real love story. Here, in this town. For all to see. As time went on the man continued to wait. No one was returning. The attitude of the people started to change. They started to talk with one another. A love story changed into a nuisance. The people decided to join and kick the man off the bench and out of the park. On the following day, the people came, and found the bench was empty. The man was gone. He was never seen again. What happened to him? It is left to imaginations.

There is " group think" and there is individuality. A real riddle, these two. Laws are made with "group think" in mind to protect the individual. It takes a group to vote a law into (or out of) existence. Yet it is often an individual who sets the wheels in motion. A group of people often gets more attention than an individual. Yet behind a group is often an individual. A president is a powerful individual, Yet he is nothing if the masses (large groups) don't follow him. Masses led by individuals. Here's where we fit into the riddle. Believing in ourselves. We can make a difference. Groups or individuals, there is a big difference between talk and actions. As individual, we have unique skills to bring aid to an idea. Believe in yourself and place in this time and enjoy.

And some music for this theme: Jon Barry "Midnight Cowboy"

What does love have in common with an umbrella

In all written records, the oldest reference to a collapsible umbrella dates to the year 21 AD, when Wang Mang had one designed for a ceremonial four-wheeled carriage. In today's world we often taken umbrellas for granted. Unless you're Natalie Tyler Tran. Natalie is an Australian producer, actress, comedian and writer from Sydney. She as a big thing for umbrellas. Seeing is believing.
Does it strike anyone else weird, the absence of any rain? "Umbrella/Baby Stress"

Lover And The Moon to Me Too Mom Parody
A look inside the struggles of a lover
A look inside the struggles of a mom

Lover and the Moon (English sonnet)

One night a lover chanced to ask the moon
Why a shroud of clouds then hid its light
What was there so much different tonight
Why the air now bears a different tune
-
He asked the moon if all things were alright
He asked the moon what changes had been strewn
But in the silence chose not to commune
But chose to hide the teardrops out of sight
-
And so the lonely lover waited there
Beyond the need for reason to explain
-
Amidst a mist of memories they share
Amidst the Joys that blossomed from the pain
-
Tomorrow’s sun would shine upon this pair
But just for now they settled into rain

A lover searches for answers in this English sonnet. This sonnet is divided into quatrains and couplets. In the quatrains a lover turns to the moon for answers. His love affair has gone sour. With the couplets he waits his answer. When the answer does come, it is left unclear if it comes from the moon or from within.

There in our small Richmond district apartment Arlene and I had more than our fair share of lovers' quarrels. What were the causes? Was it leaving our dream palace in the sky? Was it looking after Arlene's mom, whose husband had just died? Was the magic of our wedding wearing off? Was it all over? I can't tell you, how many nights I slammed the door behind me and went for a walk. Yes, I talked to the moon. (It didn't talk back.) On these walks I did get the strong feeling that all this will pass. Arlene and I were meant to be together. Yet one more fight. One more walk. One more reason to stay. Finally Arlene and I moved and things got better. Something kept us together.

Sometimes the waters of life turn rough. Day after day seem to turn to forever. Troubles have chosen us as their favorite toy. Maybe it's a relationship. Maybe it's something else. Maybe it's a combination of things. What are we to do? First and most important: Trust in yourself. This is where it all begins. From there, then what? Arlene and I decided to make a drastic change and move. This course of action may not be right or available for everyone. Change may not be the right course to take. In today's world help is available like never before. Don't be afraid. Seek it out. Trust in yourself. Trust that the waters will again be calm. Trust that we are masters of this wonder, all around and enjoy.

Here's someone who has problems of her own: Dinah Washington "Cry Me A River"

Only a mom can take stress and turn it into a song

Mothers are the world's best jugglers: family, work, money. However, all that responsibility can often leave moms feeling overstretched and stressed out. According to an APA survey, women are more likely to report physical and emotional symptoms of stress than men. Here to give us some insight into the stresses of motherhood is Deva Dalporto, of My Life Suckers.
Magically, according to the American Psychological Association, music has been found to be a major stress reliever. "Meghan Trainor - Me Too Mom Parody"
